Boarding with MHmobile @ flymas.mobi – fly with style!

Malaysia Airlines recently launch their mobile app branded MHmobile – I was skeptical at first, generally – u knowlah with all the crazy race by many airlines to have their mobile site available for public – I guess MAS wouldn’t want to be left out too – and Malaysia always like to be the first in this and that –  so with an open mind – I went to the launch at MAS Academy.

Somehow that mornin, I was more excited to see 4 stewardess in kebaya holding the iPhone rather than listening to the presentation given by MAS.

Back to MHmobile – it’s not just a mobile app for iPhone after all – it’s more like mobile application site that works on any mobile browser – the interface look very2 simple – damn plain – very 3x fast – more like an old Web 1.0 application (I so miss the old 1997 web interface) instead of glamorous iPhone-iconly apps – and the interesting part is – it can be use with many kind of phone – even on normal Nokia and Blackberry and still look damn good.

You can check MHmobile using your mobile at flymas.mobi

There are 8 features available – Book a Flight, My Booking, Check In, Flight Status, Timetable, Contacts, Baggage Tracer & Deals & Offers.

Hmmm… very feng shui! – some said 8 bring a lot opportunities!

Booking a flight tho only limited for 30 days – n it’ll show the lowest fares available at any date u selected – very good for people whose thinking to get good deals for a last minutes travel – also you can still buy tixs – 3 hours before flights – good alternative when you’re on flight delay with another airlines and hopping into another plane.

For flight status – I think this good for parents whose waiting for their kids back from overseas – just get the phone and key in the flight code – u get the latest status without wasting a lot of time hanging around at the airport.

In timetable – there’s 7 days drop down choices to check on flights timetable.

Simple n nice!

The one I like is Baggage Tracer – during Chris last trip the other day – I find it’s so hassle to call so many numbers just to get his baggage status – with this – you just need to key in your baggage record no – wa la! – the status of the baggage appear immediately.

For some of you who really looking for freaking cheap-cheap-cheap fares – Deals & Offers is the best features for you by MHmobile – they have these regular promotions which you can grab it from Deals & Offers – so always stay up-to-date on that page!

[UPDATES] Now MHmobile is available on iTunes Store – you can search ‘MHmobile’ on App Store;

That following weekend – I got the invitation to do MHmobile boarding day trip to Penang (sponsored by MAS of course) – I feel like so Jet set Queen!

It was one hell of a trip – joined by many other famous bloggers such as The Pink Stilettos & Places & Food

At KLIA – most of us got our tixs from MAS and starts check-in using MHmobile on our own mobile.

Lucky me – since I was on full fares MHflex – I got an options to change my seat no on my mobile – don’t need to faking a ‘pussycat’ face to the lady at the counter to change to aisle seat!

After confirmation - Mobile Boarding Pass will sent to your phone using SMS with a link – u must make sure your 3G or Edge or GPRS working yeah!

If not how you can’t get your boarding pass kan?

But don’t worry – u still can go to any of the counter to get your paper boarding pass if anything happend – it’s not end of the world.

MHmobile boarding pass with 2D bar code. On iPhone it does really look good.

On Dino phone? I guess miss J doesn’t like hers – she’s on a little bit out-of-date phone – LOL! Go buy new onelah – BB is cheap already meh nowadays…

Once you scan the Mobile boarding pass – your name will automatically appear with all flight details – eh this boarding thingy only can be use for domestic flights for now so jangan when you’re at Heathrow  & starts arguing with the airport authority there to use this pulak – tak pasal you got body-pat.

Iza of the pink stiletto trying her Mobile boarding pass using her pink iPhone – I heard that iPhone went kaput already!

Boarding Pass on other kind phone – on Mammoth?

Lesung?

Surely still look good on karipap phone yeah!

At the Departure gate – you’ve to scan your mobile boarding pass another time – this time you’ve to be ready with your myKad for verification – standard procedure.
