Rubi membetulkan bantal yang mengalas kepala. Sugul memandang cahaya kuning terbias dari celah lubang-lubang kecil menghias lampu tidur di sisi katil.

Ditepuk perlahan melengkung keluk di permukaan bantal. Dialih kepala menutup kiri telinga. Dilapik telapak tangan ke pipi. Lutut berlaga menyilang terselindung di bawah selimut.

Hati meronta merindui, menitis halus air mata membasah. Tiada lagi sanggup menyembunyikan hampa bermain-main dibenaknya.
